Senior Design Show, Spring 1988

“Kaleidoscope: An Experience in Color”

Directed by Dr. Nancy Rudd, Associate Professor, Consumer Sciences

  • Honored as a junior, asked by Dr. Rudd to participate in the Senior Design Show.

  • Developed five formal evening gowns and one bridal gown through flat pattern and draping techniques and created a portfolio of designs.

  • Supervised construction of garments made of satin, lame, moire taffeta, chiffon, rhinestone, pearl, sequin and peacock feather accents. 

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS AND HONORS:

The House of Bianchi, Ohio State Design Internship

Boston, Massachusetts, Summer 1989

  • Assisted Designers in bridal design room.

  • Altered patterns for custom orders.

  • Operated PDS and ADS computers in the pattern grading department.

  • Prepared and cut lace according to design styles, including hand beading.
